Sometimes the world feels like it is on a fast spin. Things are happening fast and life is just passing you by. You sit and wonder, where has the time gone. My biggest thing lately has been comparing myself to others who are “successful.” I sit and say: What have I done? What will be my legacy? Then I realize that we are on this earth for a very relatively short period of time. It is why some people do whatever it is they want in the face of criticism and judgement. You see, it’s your life. Make something of it. Not by other people’s standards but by what you know is just and true to you. Should you suffer and be cynical or just try and spend every waking moment finding joy. You see. I heard someone say that true love doesn’t exist. That it only happens in the movies. That everyone has to work hard all their lives so that they can “retire”. That you have to be skinny. That you have to live in a certain neighborhood. That you have to have certain things. That you have to wear certain clothes. It’s so confusing. It’s so much to achieve and overwhelming. My take today is, Just Relax! That’s right. Just relax. It will be over fast enough. Enjoy the ride.

 

Why Do You Do What you Do?


When I started singing I realized that I could do this forever. You know that tingly special feeling you get when you are happy. It’s like going on vacation after a long grueling week at work. You just feel refreshed and complete. Why do you do what you do? Does it complete you? Does it serve a worthwhile purpose for you? Is it because you love it? Or are you just trying to follow someone else’s view of what you should become? I get it. We DO have to pay the bills. I think every now and then, we should ask ourselves these questions. Let’s find the purpose in what we do. Let’s make it work for us and what we need in our lives. I know that I may never be perfect. I know that I may never be a superstar, but I know that I can set my life up to be perfect in my own way. I know that it is perfectly fine to live my life in dedication to my family and my emotional well being if that is what I choose. Even if it means not making as much money. Also if that is what I choose, I need to carry out actions, plans, and meet the right people to make it happen.

Music that Energizes


Angela Shella Music will be cranking out new dance songs. Energize yourself. Take the challenge. Use Angela Shella’s music to energize and exercise “Describe My Love” and “Space and Time”. Dance and Exercise. Space and Time is the perfect dance song. If you are physically able(allowed by your doctor), I challenge you to dance through these songs from beginning to end and see if you are energized. Exercise decreases depression and anxiety. Exercise improves psychological well-being. Exercise decreases the risk of developing diabetes and helps maintain body weight. It also improves your chances of living a longer life. It has been said to decrease risk of cancer and joint diseases. I often marvel at Lance Armstrong when I think about his story. I truly believe his life was extended because of all his rigorous exercise. We are not God but we can try very hard to live a lifestyle that prolongs our life. A few more years could be fun.
